Cutoffs at the IIMs and most other schools are set separately for each category. Without this we have to show you general-category numbers, which understates what you can reach. We use it only to work out your call chances and we do not share it.

Business analytics programmes require it. This decides whether they are open to you at all.

The CAT syllabus runs across Quant, Verbal & Reading, and Data & Logic. Estimate how much of it you have already been through — a rough figure is fine. It decides how much of your remaining time goes to finishing the syllabus and how much to practice.
Your projected percentile is calculated from this number together with the time left to the exam, so a hopeful figure only flatters the report.
