Review I: separating strategy from knowledge.
The first formal SimCAT checkpoint — and why the strategy/knowledge split matters.
First formal SimCAT checkpoint. Point: separate a strategy gap (content’s solid, attempt/pace/selection is poor) from a knowledge gap (content itself isn’t solid) — the fix for each is completely different.

- Mentor looks at: percentile trend and which section is swinging it; strategy vs knowledge; how closely you’re sticking to the Test Strategy (myPlan 04) plan; mental resilience under mock conditions; depth of your own post-mock analysis.
- Ends with two specific interventions you commit to before the next mock.

The pass that turns a score into next week’s improvement.
The score is the smallest part of a SimCAT — the analysis is where the next 2–3 percentile points come from.
A useful pass: every wrong answer and why (misread / trap / real gap / time), every skipped question you could’ve solved, time-per-section against your Test Strategy plan.

The three usual reasons a trend goes flat, and how this session tells them apart.
A flat trend after real effort usually means: Review I’s interventions weren’t followed through, post-mock analysis went shallow (score-and-move-on), or a genuine strategy ceiling needing a knowledge-side push instead. This session works out which.

How do I know if it’s strategy or knowledge?
Knew it when you saw the solution but ran out of time/picked badly → strategy. Concept didn’t click even with time → knowledge. Mentor helps separate; most students have some of both.
What if Review I’s interventions didn’t work?
Useful information, not failure — bring it honestly to Review II.
Is it normal to plateau mid-season?
Yes — the risk is not noticing it and coasting without real analysis.
